Religion At Work Again

Fred Phelps, the pastor of Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka Kansas, is the latest of religious leaders to make the news. If this doesn’t get you hair standing up, just think how you would feel if you were at the cemetery burying your child and this idiot and his underlings were standing on the side damning your child to hell while he was being lowered into the ground. Hopefully the courts will uphold the 2.9 million dollar judgment against him. And hopefully the people who have been giving this crook donations will stop giving. He certainly can’t continue these kinds of operations without plenty of money.
I know we have a lot of freedoms in our country, just as it should be. But this is one of the best examples of how those freedoms can be used against decent, moral people. As I have pointed out on one of my other sites, God is going to greatly punish some of his “followers”. But just maybe God expects us to legally rein in these hypocrites.
