It was the rationale for deregulation, the cause of a massive transfer of wealth and income from the middle class to a tiny number of the very rich. Now it is dead and gone but Republican politicians won’t let go, and many in the media show no understanding of the issue."

Democrats Not Campaigning in Florida

November 26th, 2007 · 1 Comment · Politics & Politicans

November 26, 2007

The Facts

The Democratic candidates are standing behind the Democratic Party decision to not campaign in Florida because of Florida’s decision to move up their primary election. The Republican candidates are not neglecting the state in their campaign efforts, but they have been really quite about this move on Florida’s part.

My View

You know, there are a lot of things that could be said about this, but what pops in my mind immediately is the situation that occurred in Florida during the 2000 presidential election. This, too, could conjure up a lot of old wounds and debates, not the least of which could be a discussion about Katherine Harris. (The Republican voters of Florida gave Harris her reward by electing her to the House of Representatives in 2002.) But none of this is my point. My point is if the state of Florida elects to conduct their political process in the way it was conducted in 2000, then become arrogant enough to move their primary election up in another attempted Republican coup, then they have no right to “complain” that they are being shunned by the Democrats. I use the word “complain” because the fact that the Democrats are not campaigning in Florida is just what Florida officials want. The reason the Republican Party is not shunning Florida is because they were the benefactors of the underhandedness in the 2000 election. But the Republicans know they could also be punished by Florida if they do not campaign there, yet they know they could be on the other side of the fence in the future if they are not careful. So it will be “entertaining” to say the least, and I anxiously await Florida’s next shenanigan in their effort to give the Florida election to the Republicans.

Yep this state is notorious for scandal. When will the Democrats move in and help us out? Yep I lost my job for being a Democrat. And now I have a new job but can’t get a proper schedule. Oh and they also were showboating about there part in the 2004 election being there swing again that needs to break. Oh and Florida your cheaters and honestly I hope the Democrats do set up a move in on your scandalous ways. And get this if it weren’t for the Democrats there would be no Florida commerce no Disneyworld no Kennedy space center. These new Floridians are spineless molesters of Republican poop
