Democrats want to take all our money and return to us one dime out of each dollar.
Republicans want to take all our money and give it to corporations and the wealthy.
Neither is acceptable!
Campaign 2010
Countdown to Congressional Elections
The most effective way to restrict democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: kings and princes, priestly castes, military juntas, party dictatorships, or modern corporations.

During an interview with Chris Wallace Sunday on Fox News, Fred Thompson spelled out his plan to reduce taxes and reduce spending to more than make up for the reduced income from taxes.
My View
Taxes are always an issue during a presidential election. That is because even candidates know that the current tax system in our country is so lop-sided and unfair that it can not be ignored during a campaign. Fred Thompson is the only candidate thus far on either side that has laid out a tax plan that comes close to making any sense. It will work, and will be good for the country. The only thing none of them is addressing is the tax shelters such as off-shore banking and tax loop hole that only corporations can take advantage of. We hear a lot about lowering the tax rate for businesses, and that would be a good thing if these “advantages” were taken away from them. But as a result of these advantages, many wealthy people and corporations pay a small fraction of their tax rate or no taxes at all, but benefit tremendously from the taxes that are being paid.
