The Facts
According to the Pentagon, China spent as much as $139 billion on their military in 2007. A large chunk of this was spent on trying to steal information from the United States.
My View
Since 911, there have been hundreds of comments made that say in essence the United States is giving financial support to terrorism by buying oil from terrorist supported countries such as Saudi Arabia. I doubt there is anyone who doesn’t believe that to be the truth. But what about China? If you have been breathing air and can see & hear, you have heard dozens of reports over the past two years or so about US imports from China, all of which were reports of dangerous products. But how many imports have we not heard about that were not considered dangerous? I suggest a lot more than the ones that have been reported as dangerous.
Another thing you have heard a lot about is America outsourcing manufacturing jobs. A huge amount of those jobs are to China. And why are these jobs being outsourced to China; for larger corporate profits. So what does that say relative to China’s military build up? It says that our US companies are more interested in profits than they are about China becoming more dangerous than terrorist from the Middle East.
I continue to wonder just how long the American citizens are going to stand by and allow our politicians and big businesses to destroy our country and way of life. They both have done such an excellent job in keeping us distracted from what they are doing.
