The Facts
Just minutes ago the jobs report for the month of March were announced; 80,000 jobs were lost during March 2008. This brings the official total number of jobs lost this year to well over 230,000. According to the official reports, the unemployment rate is now 5.1%, up from 4.8%.
My View
“Official” report; what a scam. Remember, this is a report put out by the Bush administration. Independent reports put the unemployment rate much higher. By middle to late April, expect the 80,000 number for March to be “revised”. Our government is good at doing that; easing the old preverbal shaft up the old caboose. You may remember that the January and February job lose reports were “revised” up to add an additional 67,000 jobs lost during those months. At that rate, the March jobs lose number will go up to more than 110,000.
As for the unemployment rate of 5.1%, this is another scam put out by our government. That number does not include those who are no longer eligible for unemployment compensation, which typically last only six months. It also does not include others who want jobs and can not find work. Ever wonder what the unemployment rate would be if you had those numbers? You can bet the Bush administration doesn’t want them. So my question of “will Bush finally admit a recession is here”, the answer is a big whopping “NO”. Some might say he would just avoid the issue, but with that traitor’s arrogance, he will probably be on the air within the next 72 hours actually denying it. Let’s all listen to his radio address this week-end and see. He will probably start bragging on the number of jobs that have been added under his administration. However, he will conveniently ignore the facts that that number is highly out weighted by the job loses, and that most of those added jobs were government jobs.
