The Facts
The issue of spending the stimulus money here in our country has come up before. Back then President Obama made it clear that he intends for American working people to benefit from the stimulus money, but it’s become an issue again.
This time Canadian companies are upset that the money is not being spent with them. The first complaint is from a company that makes sewage pumps. They and other companies are crying “protectionism”. In retaliation several Canadian companies have barred American companies from municipal contracts.
All agree this is a very delicate situation. Should this continue and retaliation escalates, no one really knows where it could lead.
My View
There are several reasons this became an issue in the first place, but the mustard seed was the outsourcing of American jobs. This action by American traitor companies has cost us millions of jobs and billions in tax dollars. Now the people who are lucky enough to still have a job are expected to turn over their tax stimulus dollars to other countries after we’ve already paid out trillions to the greedy traitors who are responsible for this mess. Some of those same traitors have already handed over tens of billions of our bailout dollars to foreign countries anyway, so why not take the tax money that is suppose to create jobs here in America and give it to foreign countries too? We taxpayers are gullible puppets and obvious pushovers, so we won’t mind.
