An Interesting Graphic of Koch Brothers Political Contributions

March 23, 2011

The Sunlight Foundation put together the graphic below showing the states and districts where the Koch brothers contributed to a Congressional candidate for the 2010 elections.

The scroll attached to the graphic shows which candidate received money from the Koch’s, and the amount. However, you will have to visit the Sunlight link to use the scroll. But I can tell you that they contributed to an even dozen Democrats (all conservatives) and 163 Republicans.

The Old Man has already reported on this, but Sunlight points out the lingering effects of corporate contributions:

Rep. Mike Pompeo, [was] the top recipient of money from Koch Industries in the 2010 cycle. Pompeo received nearly $80,000 from Koch Industries in 2010 and recently hired a former Koch Industries lawyer as his chief of staff. [bold added]
