April 11, 2011 Debt Ceiling Vote: Just for the RecordApril 11, 2011 The next big war to come up in Congress is the vote to raise the debt ceiling. It will be the eleventh time over the past eleven years the ceiling has been raised. Of the past ten, seven were under President George W. Bush and three under President Obama. Republicans voted enforce to raise the ceiling all seven times under Bush but not once under Obama. Therefore they can not be taken serious about being fiscally concerned. This is business as usual; partisan politics.
