So You Think There’s No Intent To Rig Elections?

August 1, 2011

Americans for Prosperity, a front group organized by multi-billionaire David Koch, has mailed out absentee ballots to registered Democrats in two Wisconsin districts where Republican representatives are being recalled in an upcoming special election. There’s only one (intended) problem: The return date on the flyer is two days after the election.

The election will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. The requested return date is “before August 11″.

Naturally one might say a voter should be aware of the election date, but this borders on being illegal if not illegal. This is simply an attempt to discount thousands of votes for being filed late, and, once more, turning democracy on its head.

If you’re not aware of what’s been going on in Wisconsin, you can start with this.
