Democrats want to take all our money and return to us one dime out of each dollar.
Republicans want to take all our money and give it to corporations and the wealthy.
Neither is acceptable!

Countdown to Congressional Elections
The most effective way to restrict democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: kings and princes, priestly castes, military juntas, party dictatorships, or modern corporations.

You may recall the big flap over how the new health care reform bill was going to cost Caterpillar and other companies billions of dollars. Everybody was talking about it. Naturally, as is usually the case, the first dog to bark wasn’t telling the whole story. In fact, in this case, didn’t even come close to the truth. (The “lost” money is in the form of taxes the companies must now pay on subsidies they’re receiving from taxpayers.) And those screaming the loudest, including Caterpillar, were touting how this added cost to the company would stifle investment and job growth. However, now that the goal of demonizing the health care plan has been accomplished, Caterpillar is moving on.

Well, well, well! Here we go again — opposition to the new health care bill is still dropping. Within 4 weeks of signing the new health care reform bill polls were showing the public was warming to it. Now a new poll is showing yet another increase in those who think the new laws will benefit the average commoner. Over the past month those who hold a favorable view has increased to 50 percent from 46 percent in April, with 14 percent saying they had no opinion. If you add to that a new analysis out this week that says 29.5 million women will benefit from the new bill, the “in-favor” group will probably go up. WOW! Who would’ve thought that once the lies died down and the truth started coming out, things wouldn’t look so horrible? However, Republicans are still solidly against it. But that’s not surprising. If Democrats suddenly found a way to solve all our problems overnight with no negative side effects, the Republicans would argue “now’s just not the time to do it”.
THE WORD IS OUT !! AMERICA IS NUMBER ONE. ON WHAT YOU ASK ?? SPENDING MORE ON HEALTH CARE THAN ANY OTHER DEVELOPED NATION — AND — GETTING LESS!! Who’s number one ?? New Zealand WITH SOCIALIZED MEDICINE!!!!
Those companies receiving free taxpayer money did not have to declare the free money as income, therefore no taxes were imposed. But according to the new law, they still get the free money but will be required to pay taxes on it. [...]
The Washington Post and ABC News conducted an interesting poll last week. Like many polls and surveys of late, this one centered on the new health care law, but wondered off into the subject of politics in general. After going over the poll to see what sort of questions were asked and a quick peek at the responses, a deeper look revealed some interesting things when comparing responses of one question to the responses of others.
